Banjo head stickers might not be the first thing you think of when you think of the Paisley Pattern. But, once you have finished this article, we at Just Paisley hope you will agree that banjo head stickers make for brilliant Paisley.
Everyone has seen the Paisley guitar, and it was therefore logical that the banjo would follow. Not quite as sexy as its larger counterpart, it goes more for the fun and colourful to do its seducing.
Now, before we get into the depths of the article, I can probably guess what you are thinking. ‘Am I reading an article about Paisley banjo head stickers?’ You are not alone – I was wondering something similar before I wrote this. Then, I looked at the banjo head stickers and it reminded me why I wanted to write about them.
Just like their older cousin, the Paisley coaster, the banjo head sticker just has something incredibly beautiful about it. And while they look fantastic on banjos, and might be the prompt for you to buy a banjo, they look so good that you will probably look at them and decide you don’t even need a banjo to want to buy the sticker.
What else can you do with a banjo head sticker?
Dreariest plate covered
We all have a dreary plate. I have a set of blue plates with brown rims – they are disgusting, and I try not to use them (I don’t even know where I got them from). Obviously, in the event of an emergency – like when I can’t be bothered to wash my dishes or when my dishwasher breaks down – I sometimes need to use these plates.
And it might not just be you who is using dreary plates. Maybe you could survive using the dreary plate if it was just you, but what if there are others in your home? Do you really want your family to remember you by the dreary plates you served up to them? Do you think you will impress a prospective partner with a dreary plate?
Now, I am not suggesting you stick a banjo sticker to a plate you are going to serve hot food on – like a curry. That would not be good for the banjo sticker, the curry, or your reputation.
No. I was thinking more along the lines of cake. Yes, cake!
A beautiful cake on a beautiful Paisley cake-stickered plate – it looks superb and, what is more, it says so much about you – yes, you need to lie and tell everyone it is a cake sticker that is attached to the plate. Letting on it is a banjo sticker might raise some eyebrows – unless your guest has a monobrow, in which case it would be in the singular ‘eyebrow’.
Key Point – If possible, your banjo sticker should be larger than your plate. If this is the case, just stick the overlapping parts of the sticker onto the underside of the plate.
Additional Key Point – If the plate is larger than the banjo sticker, do not, I repeat, do not attempt to file down the plate so it fits the sticker. No, just place the sticker in the centre of the plate, and pretend that the rim of the plate does not show. Nothing is ever perfect!
Coaster
The banjo sticker, when stuck to a large circular piece of cardboard, actually becomes a coaster. Note, I don’t say it becomes like a coaster. No, it becomes a coaster – a coaster that could be sold as a coaster… for large drinks like cocktails or for those who prefer to drink straight from the carafe.
I have a request at this point – if anyone finds matching coasters and banjo stickers, please get in touch. I need them.
Laptop stickers
Banjo head stickers easily double up as laptop stickers. By placing a Paisley banjo sticker on your laptop, you will be affirming your love of Paisley, and your yearning to acquire a banjo to go with your sticker.
4.      Game piece
Paisley banjo stickers are perfect for an improvised game of Twister. If you can’t find your Twister set, but you know that you still have it somewhere, then rather than buying a new board game, you could buy a series of different sets of Paisley banjo stickers and stick them to your floor.
The secret here is to ensure the stickers are not fully stuck to the floor – which is difficult as people’s full body weights are likely to be placed on them. If your Paisley banjo sticker does get fully attached to your floor, then the sad news is that you will likely need a new floor. Or, and this would be preferable, you could simply enjoy the new Paisley floor you have just created.
Overflowing paper bin sealant
This is self-explanatory – if not a little odd.
Miniature reindeer trapper
If a hole is dug in the woods and a banjo sticker is placed over it, this acts as a great animal trap. In tests to date, the only animal ever captured has been a miniature reindeer (hence the heading). If you do happen to catch a miniature reindeer, you are of course obliged to re-set it free, only after telling it what you will be wanting from Santa in 5 years.
7.      Miniature reindeer trampoline
If your idea of fun is to give the miniature reindeer fun, then you could tighten the banjo sticker when you seal it around the hole. This will have the effect of creating a mini-trampoline for the lucky reindeer, and this will increase the likelihood that it will tell Santa what you will be wanting in 5 years.
Wallpaper substitute
If you can’t be bothered putting up wallpaper, and a plain wall is too drab for you, then some strategically placed banjo stickers will brighten a room, and at least show that you made some kind of effort. Alternatively, you can put up some Paisley removable wallpaper.
Pacman substitute
If you don’t know what Pacman is – move on! If you do, then suffice it to say that cutting a small chunk out of your Paisley banjo sticker can create a perfect Pacman in Paisley disguise.
Visitor confuser
It is probably a little too wacky for most, but sticking a Paisley banjo sticker on your front door will confuse your visitors. Some will be scared and will not knock on your door. They will likely assume that it is some pagan symbol.
If you can think of any other amazing uses for your Paisley banjo head stickers, Just Paisley would love to hear from you.
