Why Choose Removable Wallpaper and Why Paisley Patterns Are Best

Removable Paisley Pattern wallpaper asks many questions – the greatest of which should be ‘Which style of Paisley Pattern removable wallpaper is best for me?’, and the most obvious of which should be ‘What is removable wallpaper?’

Let Just Paisley answer the second question first.

What is removable wallpaper?

Removable wallpaper (or peel-and-stick wallpaper) is a wallpaper that you can remove. That’s it! Do you want or need more?

Okay, it is wallpaper that can be taken down and reused elsewhere, or in the same place, but just better hung. Is that better?

Perhaps it would be better if we asked, ‘Why would you want to use removable wallpaper?’

Why would you want to use removable wallpaper?

Why would anyone of sound mind opt for removable wallpaper, you ask? Well, after you have finished reading this, we promise you – you will not consider using any other type of wallpaper. Okay, we acknowledge that you might – we just got slightly carried away there – but you should not.

But, let’s start with some simple remembering. Remember the hellish drudgery of traditional wallpaper's messy paste and the soul-crushing time spent trying to just get to the end of it, while worrying whether you are going to run out of wallpaper? Remember thinking, once it is up, whether you actually like it? Don’t think you are alone in thinking that wallpaper sometimes looks better anywhere other than the wall it ends up on. And then think of how removable wallpaper is the casual fling of interior design – fun, spontaneous, although not particularly tactile, but when the time comes, easy to part ways with.

Now, imagine you are hosting a fabulous Christmas bash (and if you don’t have enough seats – cue Paisley Mug) and want your walls to reflect the holiday spirit - enter removable wallpaper. Slap on some festive patterns, and voilà - your living room transforms into a winter wonderland faster than you can say ‘It will soon be Easter’. When January rolls around, and you see enough snow outside, you can peel off your Christmas removable wallpaper – minding Rudolph’s nose.

And then, if you consider yourself to be at least a tad trendy, with removable wallpaper, you can hop from modern geometrics to ancient hieroglyphics to Paisley patterns without the permanence of tattooing your walls (and you should, you really should!). Or perhaps you are renting, and your landlord is a devotee of ‘You can never go wrong with plain white’, removable wallpaper allows you to inject personality into your space (without risking your deposit).

So, we are hoping you are convinced. If not, and since you are still reading and have not yet disappeared into the World of Weird Wallpaper, why not indulge our penchant for nice round numbers, and check out our additional magnificent:

11 reasons why you should use removable wallpaper:

  1. You are a frequent mover

Many people frequently move home – indeed, unfortunately, some will need to move for their safety. Others might be evicted, sometimes for no genuine reason. The hope is that in these situations, the affected will have personal belongings and they will be able to take these to their next safe and comfortable home.

For others, who might always choose stick-on removable wallpaper for renters, and who choose to move for happier reasons, in addition to being able to take their important personal belongings, they will be able to take their wallpaper with them. (Attempting to remove non-removable wallpaper to take with you makes no sense – if you don’t believe me, try it, you fool!)

Of course, only if you were attached to it, would you choose to take your removable wallpaper with you. Getting attached to wallpaper is perfectly normal – although it is normally more normal when you are putting up normal wallpaper, in an abnormal way.

(If there is one thing that exposes an inadequacy in a human, it is putting up normal wallpaper.)

Whereas, with modern removable wallpaper, when you find that the big bubble in the middle of the hung paper is the family cat, you simply remove the wallpaper – and the cat – and then re-stick the paper.

  1. Boredom remover

If boredom is a killer for you, then you can simply remove your easy removable wallpaper, and replace it with other removable wallpaper. There is no limit to how often you can do this – you could have a different wallpaper for every day of the week. Alternatively, you could educate yourself better by taking some kind of course or maybe volunteering somewhere. Believe me, removable wallpaper is good, but it has limitations – and being a game-changer on how to live your life is just ever so slightly beyond it.

  1. No size limitation

There is no limit on how much or how little removable wallpaper you can use.

If you want to go minimalist, you can find a piece of wall as small as you like, and stick a piece of removable wallpaper to it.

A piece of Paisley bandana wallpaper 1 inch by 1 inch can look stunning on a blank wall. In addition to provoking comments from visitors in those don’t-know-what-to-say moments, it can also provide a much better alternative to that ‘I can’t, I am washing my hair’ excuse when you are asked on a date by someone you have no remote interest in.

Of course, there is a downside to this. When told that you are too busy because you are wallpapering your lounge, your spurned potential dater is likely to be even more impressed by you, and will likely pursue you even more vigorously.

  1. Vacation wallpaper

If you are going on vacation, and you have already seen the walls of your villa or hotel room online, then you can enhance their look and your stay by putting up the removable wallpaper you have brought from home. By doing so, you will feel so much more at home in your holiday rental, you probably won’t want to leave – at which point, you will be evicted (again).

On the other hand, if you are feeling kind, and want to show your host some form of appreciation, you could of course leave your removable wallpaper up as a thank-you gesture – particularly if your removable wallpaper is that little one-inch square piece we talked about earlier.

Of course, the smaller the piece of removable wallpaper you put up, the more you will retain for future use.

I would calculate that if you use a one-inch square section of wallpaper, and it lasts 3 years, then you should have enough wallpaper to last you for 63 million years, which should see you through to the end of your life.

  1. Portability

By removing your easily removable wallpaper before you leave the house each morning, and say, sticking it to your purse or wallet, then it can stay with you all day. This is what is referred to as ‘getting bang for your buck.’

Instead of your wallpaper hanging there in an empty house all day – and not being appreciated by anyone – it is likely to be seen more widely and more often – particularly if your landlord gets the same bus as you, and demands payment of your rent.

Key Point – The likelihood of purse and wallet theft rises proportionately to the size of the removable wallpaper you stick on your purse or wallet. It is not uncommon for a wallet to be found with all of its contents still intact but with the removable wallpaper removed. You have been warned!

  1. Flexibility

You will have the ability to stick your removable Paisley wallpaper all over town by sticking it to anything – bus shelters, stationary buses, bus waiting lounges, and even places that have nothing to do with buses – like trains.

Key Point – You will not be thanked for this particular piece of public service. No, you will be designated as a public nuisance, and there is likely to be an appeal to find you on local TV (but you won’t be on local TV).

My advice – lie low for a couple of years and then strike in a different town. You will then be known as a serial removable wallpaperist. Crime and Investigation are likely to want to make a series on you – and Netflix will want to make a series about your prison tapes, recorded by that person who professes to love you but who really loves the thought of all the money they can make off your notoriety.

  1. Expansion

If you love your Paisley removable wallpaper, you will feel compelled to expand its use. You might decide to use it as floor covering. This could be done in 2 ways – either by cutting a section of removable wallpaper and attaching it to the floor – thereby allowing your baseboard or skirting board to be seen.

Or, our favourite at Just Paisley, you extend the removable wallpaper from the top of your wall down to the piece of floor you want it to stop at. This will mean you have covered your baseboard or skirting board with wallpaper, which is a good idea as baseboards are a pain to paint.

Key Point – In theory, you could wallpaper from the top of one wall to the top of the opposing wall – thereby covering 2 different sections of the baseboard. This is only theory. The reality is you are unlikely to find a roll of removable wallpaper long enough to achieve that noble goal – although some rented accommodations can be so small, you never know.

  1. Stain hider

Like its infant relative, the Paisley banjo sticker, Paisley wallpaper is ideal for hiding stains. Whether it is the blood stains on the wall from your second victim, the beetroot stains on the wall you created when attempting to simulate the blood splatter from the upcoming slaying of your second victim, or more likely the wine stains on the wall which resulted from throwing the wine bottle across the room at the person who turned out to be your second victim.

  1. Mood enhancer

It is well known (to me) that your wallpaper sets your mood for the rest of the day. So, by allowing your existing paper to take charge, you are leaving yourself to its whims. So, why not take back control and have you decide which wallpaper will be displayed on any day, at any hour, or at quarter past three.

Removable wallpaper lets YOU take back control, so if you want to be happy – and who doesn’t – then stick up some happy removable Paisley wallpaper. And as night falls, and you want to reflect on how happy you have been all day, why not stick up some reflective wallpaper – not reflective as in shiny (which is common), but as in thankful reflective (which is not so common)?

  1. Laziness killer

Laziness is usually linked in some way to time.

If it takes 15 seconds to walk to the fridge to get a beer, then no matter how much of a personal pain it is, you will probably do it – if you really want that beer.

If it takes 115 seconds to walk to the fridge to get a beer, you have a particularly large house, and you might feel you deserve that beer when you eventually reach that fridge.

If it takes 515 seconds to walk to the fridge to get a beer, you are a burglar and you should not be in the house of whoever it is you are currently robbing. Get back to your own house, and buy your own beer!

  1. Procrastination killer

Procrastination – sometimes confused with laziness – is where you know you should be doing something, but for some reason (e.g. fear of failure, fear of receiving an inadequate reward, fear of difficulty, etc.) you choose to do something else instead. Wallpaper hanging is a prime candidate for generating procrastination.

Removable wallpaper removes some of the barriers that lead to procrastination because you tell yourself that if the little time you spend on putting up the wallpaper is unsuccessful, you will be able to spend a bit more time re-doing it, again and again, until you eventually find someone else who can do it adequately.

Oh, and getting back to that first question, which I am sure you have now forgotten about – the one about ‘Which style of Paisley Pattern removable wallpaper is best for me?’ The answer is ‘Whatever you like… and only what you like.’ No one should be telling you what kind of Paisley wallpaper to put up. That said, don’t mix black and brown; baboon yellow and octopus green don’t match either.

And why settle for plain when you can have Paisley? Paisley Pattern removable wallpaper will transform your space – just imagine walking into a room where the walls are dancing with intricate, swirling Paisley designs. It's like hosting an eternal party where sophistication is the guest of honour. This timeless pattern, with its roots in ancient Persia or India (devotees can battle that one out), doesn’t just say ‘I’ve got taste’; it screams it from the walls. Whether you’re sprucing up a loft or adding charm to the inside of a traditional abode, Paisley wallpaper fits right in, bringing a dash of elegance and a whole lot of character.

Still not convinced? Let’s talk flexibility. Paisley removable wallpaper is like the fashionista of the decor world – it changes with your whims. Stick it up. Ready for something new? Peel it off. Your walls are your canvas, and Paisley is your masterpiece.

And let’s be honest, plain wallpapers are a snooze fest. Geometric patterns can be too rigid. Floral can be too cliché. But Paisley? Paisley is that perfect blend of bold and beautiful, always ready to impress. It’s not just about covering your walls; it’s about making a statement, one elegant swirl at a time.

And so, because life’s too short for boring walls, please just have a think. Then, give your home the vibrant twist it deserves, and let those Paisley patterns start to work their magic. You will thank yourself for it. I would thank you for it if I knew, so if you do, please let me know and I will.

Paisley removable wallpaper! A bit of a mouthful, but you really should not be eating it!
