A woman's Paisley scarf is probably one of the most elegant and classy of Paisley items. Indeed, the wearer of such a beautiful item probably does not need to do one more thing. They have already sealed their status as elegant and classy.
Are you not convinced? Look at the image below and tell me the argument is not won.
Scarves have probably been around for as long as humans have had necks – which I am guessing is more than a few years. While in tougher times, the scarf was used for warmth and protection – for the neck, head, and shoulders – whilst continuing to carry out these basic functions, it has also evolved into becoming a majorly important fashion accessory in the woman’s wardrobe.
While the basic shape of the scarf has remained the same, advances in manufacturing techniques mean scarves can now be made to any weight, out of most materials, and with any form of design capable of being applied to them.
This level of variety and the diversity of wearers have also allowed human creativity to develop a seemingly infinite number of ways to wear the scarf. The Just Paisley number one is wrapping it once around the neck and then continuously wrapping it around the top of the left arm. This creates the Blood Pressure Monitor look which no one has yet popularised – be my guest!
What is it about the woman's modern Paisley scarf?
Firstly, and this is boring, but an important one! They can be functional necessities. In cold weather, a heavy warm woolen scarf can mean the difference between feeling warm all over or feeling that your whole body is being attacked down your back by bursts of freezing air. (When we forget our gloves, we all know the difference it can make to our enjoyment of any outdoor activity – this is similar)
Of course, in extremely hot weather, the scarf – hopefully, a different scarf - shows its versatility by becoming a protector from the sun – shoulders, neck, hair, chest, and indeed anywhere else you choose to place the scarf will be afforded shade. This will give immediate relief as well as saving you from a night being ruined by shaking and covered in sticky cream.
Secondly, the wearer of a beautiful Paisley blue scarf just exudes qualities like taste, self-confidence, attention to detail, and caring – in this case, caring about their appearance. Such qualities are subconsciously sought after by those seeking out relationships because the person with them is also more likely to express them in their relationship with others.
Thirdly, they are sexy! How can they be sexy? The answer here is less than informative – they just are! It is probably because they cover areas of the body – hair, neck, chest, and shoulders – that are fundamentally tied in with sexual attractiveness and contact between our species. The allure associated with this, and indeed sometimes the act of removing the scarf, can add to the sexual chemistry between the wearer and their companion.
Fourthly, the scarf is one of the most obvious ways of telling the world about your fashion style. There is no need to do it quietly – if you love Paisley or Tartan or stripes, or whatever, your scarf allows you to scream it out loud. So, take advantage!
And finally, the scarf can be a statement maker. It can say:
‘Why not come over here and talk to me about my silk head scarf?’
‘Yes, I am wearing the same scarf as you, so will you come over and talk to me about it.’
‘Yes, I am wearing the same designer scarf as you. The night was going so well until you turned up wearing the same scarf. Please don’t come over and talk to me about it.’
‘I wear this scarf to show my allegiance.’
‘I wear this commemorative scarf to show that it is about the occasion and not necessarily the result.’
‘I give no thought to the exquisite multi-patterned Paisley neck scarf I am wearing.’
‘This scarf was a gift and it is killing me to wear it – no, really is killing me! I have more style than this – honest!’
‘It is minus 10 outside, and look at me, unlike some of you numpties, I am wearing a hooded scarf.’
We at Just Paisley could list other statements a scarf can make, but these are the main ones, and to list the lesser ones would become tedious for both you and us. Why don’t we just stop there?
You know what you have got to do, but will you? Go on, get a Paisley scarf!
